The OYSTER CRACKER is a longer and wider version of the RESCUE MINOR designed in 1942 by William Atkin. The boat is 20 feet 6 inches long and 6 feet 8 inches wide. with two men and gear the boat draws 8 INCHES of water. The 10 inch prop is powered by an ultra-clean burning diesel motor. The boat gets an amazing 1/2 GALLON AN HOUR !
This unique little tunnel hull, cruising in 8 inches of water will not disturb ripples on a sandy bottom. Running in grass flats there is NO PROP SCARING. the propeller is well protected and TOTALLY WEED LESS. Eight inch draft is maintained forward or backward and at any speed. She planes at less than 5 knots with top speed around 18 knots. A keel cooler recessed into the bottom enables the OYSTER CRACKER to tackle SERIOUS MUD while keeping the motor cool. The boat comes with a 25 hp. Kubota motor. This motor exceeds California emissions for the year 2015! If you really want to go green, order the OPTIONAL DIESEL ELECTRIC HYBRID or ALL ELECTRIC drive system.
